The Only Calculators Worth Your Time

Same Birth Data, Two Different Charts
Both calculators were run with the same birth data: January 15, 1990, 12:00 PM, Male.
- Both calculators correctly placed Zi Wei (the Purple Star) in the same palace.
- Both identified the same Four Transformations (Hua).
- Imperial Astrology additionally applies true solar time correction — if you were born in a location where your clock time differs from solar time (most places), Imperial Astrology adjusts for this. PurpleStarChart does not.
- Imperial Astrology gives you both systems — ZWDS and BaZi — from the same birth data. PurpleStarChart only gives you ZWDS.
Bottom line: both calculators are accurate for basic chart generation. The differences emerge in depth, precision, and what else you get.
